A great and delicious hummus without all the calories.*
Ingredients
2 cans chic peas: 1 can drained. 1 can undrained
Fresh garlic
Sea salt
Pepper
Lemon
To prepare:
Zest your lemon and put the zest to the side.
In a food processor combine:
drained and undrained chic peas.
The juice of one lemon.
1 large clove of garlic
Sea Salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
Fold in Lemon Zest.
Chill and Serve.
*You can kick this dish up with various flavors:
roasted red pepper hummus – just add 1 jarred roasted red pepper (in water NOT oil) to the food processor.
sundried tomato hummus – just add a few sundried tomatoes (in water NOT oil) to the food processor
artichoke hummus – just add canned/jarred artichokes (in water NOT oil) to the food processor
…you get the picture – just add whatever you like!
